MEET THE CREATOR

"I believe that we need to start with our own regardless of where we are," was the response given by the creator, Hanifah Musoke Hernandez, when asked what prompted the idea of a reality TV show with a cast of Uganda natives. Hanifah, most commonly referred to as Hanny, is a Ugandan native who moved to Uppsala, Sweden at an early age. There, she began to research her native country. To her dissatisfaction, most of the information obtained was negative. There are still vivid memories of friends and classmates who would ask what Hanny thought to be ignorant and ridiculous questions about Uganda. But with all the country's negative portrayal in the media...who could blame them?

Upon her arrival into the United States in 1998, Hanny enrolled in college in Florida, where she lived for eight years. Hanny most recently moved to Valdosta, Georgia in 2006 When she is not traveling, the loving wife and mother of two enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading romance novels and preparing gourmet cuisine.

Words of Others

"Though sophisticated and always ready to tackle anything that comes her way, Hanny is a humble young lady who takes business seriously and mellows down anything called 'trouble' with a joke. Overall Hanny has a friendly personality, always has an open ear to whatever you have to say... whether good, bad, funny or sad. She maintains her professionalism at work, yet I can tell she is a loving mother and wife. Nonetheless, she keeps her work life in the office and her personal life at home."
— Kgomotso “Mo” Molefinyane, Call Center Supervisor from Botswana, Africa

"Professional. Goal oriented. Work-a-holic. Evolutionary. Unbiased. Multi-tasked. Honest. Reasonable. These traits describe her and so much more..."
—Rosaly Bristow, Call Center Quality Analyst from Puerto Rico

"Hanny is a smart, intuitive woman who lives each day to the fullest. She works to understand people and situations in her life so that she can continuously grow and improve herself and enable others to do the same. Due to her experiences and travels, she has a unique view of the world as well as life in general. Above all, she is fun-loving and is capable of laughing at herself, a skill that often takes others many years to acquire."
